Interlinked solutions continue to gain acceptance as a trend in process-safe glass processing.
BENTELER offers environmentally friendly solutions for sustainable glass processing.
Paderborn, September 21, 2022. For 25 years, glasstec, the world's leading trade fair for glass technology, has been considered the most important event for the international glass industry. From September 20th to 23rd, BENTELER Glass Processing Equipment will again present itself in Düsseldorf as an innovative technology partner on more than 500 square meters of exhibition space (Hall 14, Booth A38). In addition to three different types of glass processing equipment for the architectural, automotive and technical glass sectors, the BENTELER subsidiary will also be presenting its extensive range of services and spare parts.
Thinking and acting responsibly are top priorities at BENTELER. One focus here is on sustainability: "A major advantage of glass is that it can be recycled an infinite number of times. Flat glass is, and will therefore remain, a material of the future and will increasingly take on technical functions. We meet the demand for sustainable flat glass with innovative, environmentally friendly solutions," says Peter Oswald, Managing Director of BENTELER Glass Processing Equipment.
Interlinked lines: a guarantee for reliable glass processing
As one of the leading suppliers of complex machining lines, BENTELER will present interlinked lines to the expert audience: This includes, for example, the linking of grinding, drilling and washing machines to form a complete machining line.
Intelligent solutions from BENTELER are characterized by flexibility, high process reliability and short throughput times in glass processing, thus increasing production output by up to 30%. They thus make a significant contribution to efficient and resource-saving glass processing, which can be further optimized by customized automation solutions from BENTELER.
Comprehensive service program made by BENTELER
At the trade show, BENTELER will also exhibit its comprehensive service portfolio as well as its own tools for drilling, grinding and countersinking. "At glasstec 2022 we will show our 'cylindrical brush rollers made by BENTELER' for the first time. In times of strained supply chains, high-quality machines and equipment, as well as spare parts, are more important than ever. They increase the service life of the machines. To increase the ability to plan and avoid cost-intensive machine downtimes, we offer our customers the security they need for a smooth production process and consistent quality with our comprehensive maintenance contracts," explains Peter Oswald.
Environmentally friendly solutions for sustainable applications
Systems from BENTELER Glass Processing Equipment for flat glass processing are not only durable – but they also score even at the end of their life cycle: Consisting of around 80 percent steel, 10 percent aluminum and 10 percent other materials, they are fully recyclable. They also excel in terms of consumption: glass washing machines for flat and curved panes are economical with high washing quality. Their perfectly thought-out water cycle makes optimum use of the water fed into the system. This reduces the amount of fresh water needed for cleaning.
Sustainability is part of BENTELER Glass Processing Equipment's understanding of quality. Thus, the company has also succeeded in opening new customer groups by turning to renewable energy sources: Manufacturers of smart glass, roof-mounted solar cells or parabolic mirrors for solar power systems now also use equipment from BENTELER Glass Processing Equipment. "On the way to a sustainable economy, it is impossible to imagine life without glass as an infinitely recyclable material," says Christoph Linnenbrügger, Technical Manager BENTELER Glass Processing Equipment. "We are therefore celebrating the United Nations International 'Year of Glass' at glasstec and remain committed to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030."
